I do the dishes around here. I can’t remember if that’s always been the case, but it has been for at least the last several years. I have never managed to get in the habit of emptying the dishwasher right away and then loading it throughout the day. Instead, everything gets piled on the counter next to the sink and/or in one half of our double sink. For some reason, even after all this time, I’m still always surprised at how quickly the dishes accumulate; I’m not conscious of them at all until suddenly there’s this mountain that seems to have appeared out of nowhere. This is about 24 hours’ worth, but I’d swear that the last time I looked they weren’t there. LOL

Yep! Happens that way at our house too! Joel does them about once a week, but they get way too out of hand.
