If the kids are ready within their allotted time, we read to them for a bit before bed from a book of their choice. Mark and I each take a kid, alternating nights. I had Matthew tonight and read to him from this Captain Underpants book. The series is actually surprisingly well written and funny, even (especially ;) ) beyond the potty humor, breaking the fourth wall quite frequently. My favorite part in the few minutes we read tonight was when there was a familiar sound coming from “somewhere over on the next page” so the two snot monsters “stomped over to page 130” to check it out. LOL
