Kaylee woke up several times during the night (unusual for her) and was sniffly and coughing a bit. By morning she had a low-grade fever and the cough was worse, so she stayed home from school. She spent the day on the couch watching movies, drawing, and playing cards. She only got a little bit teary when she realized this meant she might not get to go to the birthday party this weekend.
(Please ignore how terribly dirty this photo makes this 19 year old couch look. It’s not quite that bad in real life… almost, but not quite. ;) )
