Day 219 – August 7, 2010 :: Pushy Pumpkins

The kids spent most of the afternoon completely absorbed in a catalog that arrived in the mail.  What kind of catalog?  Why, Halloween costumes, of course.  Hello?  Halloween? Isn’t it still summer? School hasn’t even started yet. I don’t need any help from the retailers rushing the holidays along; time already flies by fast enough all on its own!

Day 218 – August 6, 2010 :: Pod People

Mark decided to loan Kaylee his iPod and speaker so that she’d be able to more easily be able to listen to her music in her room.  So here he’s explaining how to use it. When I went to see what was was going on, Mark was sitting in front of the door, and I couldn’t get in, so I had to stick my arm through the door to take a picture. LOL

Day 217 – August 5, 2010 :: Drive-By Hugging

Matthew spontaneously grabbed Kaylee and hugged her for the camera. I love the look on her face. LOL

Day 216 – August 4, 2010 :: Fashionista

Kaylee was so proud of this “dress” she created using a blanket and a ribbon.

Then she funked it up a bit, converting the blanket to a skirt, and adding a sweatshirt and silver belt. She says it’s “half-fashion, half-queen”.  :)

And these poses were all her. She was in full out model mode. LOL

Day 215 – August 3, 2010 :: Left. Right. Done.

I went to make supper and found this behind the couch. Made me smile. :)  Kaylee’s making terrific progress with her shoe tying. :)

Day 214 – August 2, 2010 :: Bandersnatch Feet

Our Netflix movie this week was the Johnny Depp “Alice in Wonderland”. Matthew sat next to me on the couch while we watched. (Kaylee’s in the little tent.)  The movie was excellent – and much less bizarre and creepy than I was expecting. No nightmare worries... yay!  :)

Day 213 – August 1, 2010 :: Scooby Snack

We normally have the TV off during meals, but for some reason it was on, and Kaylee was totally entranced with the episode of Scooby-Doo that was on.  Her spot at the table is such that her back is to the TV, so she’d have to quickly turn and dunk her cookie in her milk, and then crank back around to watch.  :)
